On-Line Strategies announces Payment Application Best Practices compliance

OLS achieves validation of compliance with Visa's Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) for its OLS.Switch Transaction Engine

Dallas, TX; October 28, 2008: On-Line Strategies, Inc. ('OLS'), announces that its transaction processing engine, OLS.Switch, has achieved compliance validation with Visa's Payment Application Best Practices. The Payment Application Best Practices (PABP), was developed by Visa to assist software vendors in creating secure payment applications that help merchants and agents mitigate compromises, prevent storage of sensitive cardholder data (i.e. full magnetic stripe data, CVV, CVV2 or PIN data) and support overall compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) has adopted Visa’s PABP and released the standard as the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) in April 2008.
